Unsinkable Studios was started in late 2017 by artist Molly Brown. Molly earned her bachelor of arts in studio arts from the University of Akron and focuses on photography, ceramics, and sculpture. Molly has worked on a cohesive project about the abandoned Rolling Acres Mall and the Romig Road area of Akron since 2011 and loves to share the loneliness of the economic dead zone. With a passion for found objects and vacant locations, she is attracted to the idea of nature taking back land that was stolen and focuses on the wastefulness of modern society: always creating new buildings and commodities instead of recycling and reusing. This concept is also expressed in sculptures that Molly works on as she loves to incorporate found materials into them.
